0 Hi. I am looking at getting some rs2205 2300 or 2600kv, but I'm not sure if my Xm20a esc's will handle the current going on the bench test I've been finding on the net.
It's a 280 frame and will be 4s when I get them fitted.
Has anyone got any thoughts or data for in-flight current draw? and which one would be better, the 2300kv or 2600kv?
Thanks.

0 Between the two I would use the 2300kv motors on a 280mm frame. Figure with the 280 you will be wanting to swing bigger props and the 2300 will give you slightly more torque than the 2600kv. Might help the ESC's stay just a little cooler when turning the bigger props also.

0 I was leaning towards 6 inch props but most of the bench tests I've found have the max amps up in the mid to high 20's. But further reading suggests that real world figures would be around 30% lower. Being new to the flying game I'm not sure what to believe.

0 That seems like the best way and the way I'd do it. But when I see posts saying that they run 6045 on 2300kv motors and 12a esc it got me doubting things.
I'd like to avoid the magical blue smoke. So will order up some higher rated esc's for the jump to 4s and new motors. It a shame coz I've just got these 20a ones, I can always use them on the next frame.
