RS2205 2300KV running 6" props
#1
Just got my Red bottoms 2300KV in, and I have some spare 6" props, so I am wondering will Emax RS2205 RS2300KV be able to swing 6045BN triblade?

Maybe on 3S, on 4S you will draw high amperage on a prop that big, and likely to burn out the motors

Really a 5x5x3 BN is probably the biggest propeller you should really go on the 2300kv motors (given the common 20A ESC).
You should really run 2000ish KV to swing 6inch props.

But I think it probably do ok with a 2 blade 6x4.5, maybe even 6x4.5x2 bn.

Really, I think everyone should buy a thrust stand and test the setup they are going to run. You will find a lot of the combos don't work well together, for example, 2208 2100 has more thrust and less amps using HQ6045 prop compared to HQ6045 bullnose

Back to your question, even my 2208 2100KV motor have a hard time swinging a HQ6045 triblade prop. It pulls 39 amps per motor and you can feel the voltage sag on a 4s 1800mah pack... Not recommended at all

I have a thrust stand and that gives really useful info, but the best info I'm getting these days is from Kiss FC OSD with the 24A telemetry ESC - you can see the RPM the motors can reach. Some surprisingly light props don't reach their full potential in flight, and there are heavier ones that do!

So many people over-propping it's ridiculous! They don't even know how their prop and motor work together, all they get is less flight time and more heat nothing else.
