Rip and Ride Oahu
#1
Learning to Freestyle and make videos lol.  I took a motorcycle ride up the Windward side of Oahu to North Shore then back home.  Stopped at a few parks on the way.  Here is my Cheesy video full of failed tricks and bailouts.  But it was fun and the scenery was cool.

Wow gorgeous, it must be nice living in paradise. Sorry but didn't actually see much of your flying, my eyes just kept getting distracted by the beautiful mountains/cliffs and ocean views. And was that rain coming in over the mountains or just the normal cloud cover... I imagine those lush mountains are full of waterfalls too... I see some long range waterproof drones in your future.
Although I seem to recall reading somewhere that Hawaii has some strict no drone areas?

The mountains split the island in half and when the rain is heavy there are water falls Smile this video is mostly on the Windward side that gets lots rain, almost daily. I live on the leeward side which is more desert like hot and dry. Its pretty wild entering the H3 tunnel on an 85 degree hot dry day only to come out to low 70's and torrential rain on the other side of the mile long tunnel. I want to pull the trigger so bad on some long range gear and there are local guys that not only mountain surf but will also fly from the Oahu shore to other islands. But I am too scared to loose stuff. If I loose a drone in the mountains or water its gone forever and they are getting expensive lol. Considering its a 30x40 mile island that has several airports and military bases, topped off with the local rules of no flying in state parks, over crowds (tourism is everywhere) or marine life... places to fly can be limited but still lots of places to go. Here is a long range guy mountain surfing.

I'd love to fly there, I have a few micro LR quads that have never seen long-range or even mid-range. If it doesn't get too windy up there, maybe consider one of those 4" LR setups that were so popular a few years back (most come with GPS and finder). You can probably find a used analog one for under $150, add a budget action cam and good to go. It sucks to lose a drone, but for a budget micro LR setup the pain is more bearable. And to be able to surf/dive that landscape, I'd certainly risk one of my drones for that.
