As a bloke of slowly advancing years I'm finding focusing on screens - particularly at close distance, puts a strain on my eyes that becomes uncomfortable after a couple of minutes.
I have a set of Fatshark Dominator v3's that are pretty comfortable, but I couldn't get rid of fuzzy edges on my right eye even with the IPD control.
Seeing that it was £20 for the Fatshark diopter set and that they are cheap plastic at the end of the day, I'd had my eye(!) on the RHO-Lens ophthalmic lenses on eBay for the last couple of months, but was holding off on purchasing as I couldn't find any reviews.
After um-ing and ah-ing, I finally ordered a set after having a new eye test and finding that the old eyes were worse than last time.
I purchased direct from the website (rather than eBay) on the 17th November as I could enter my prescription easily and they are also offering EUR 40.00 refund for a review on YouTube and EUR 30.00 in any larger FPV forum! SO to be clear I have paid for these lenses with my own cash, but expect money back due to this review.
The lenses turned up on the 29th November lightly packed in an envelope and I've now had a chance to use them properly over the weekend.
They are well made plastic lenses that fit the Fatshark goggles snugly, the only con I can see is it's easy to not push the lens in all the way into the slot.
A bit of compressed air helps keep the dust off and I was concerned that my eyelashes would contact with the lenses making them greasy, but so far all is good!
As to how they perform, they certainly make the image sharper and I can now use the IPD lever to get rid of the fuzzy edges. My eyes are not as tired as they were after a few flights and the image is sharper to my eyes - all pretty subjective as I can't take a picture showing a sharper image!
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and I think they will be used with future Fatshark goggles as they seem never to update their design!
