Replacement screws in bottom of DYS SE2205 motors?
#1
After a flight I discovered that I was missing a screw in one of my motors (DYS SE2205 2300KV). Wouldn't be so bad if it was one of the screws attaching the motor to the frame but unfortunately it's the one keeping the motor bell attached to the stator (see picture below) Angry
I've checked and the shaft diameter fits any M2.5 screw but I don't think it's a good idea to use just any screw. Most M2.5 screws have a head which is so broad that it would ride up against the non-rotating part of the bearings, possibly ruining it.
I've contact DYS but they aren't answering. Might anyone here know where to get these screws?

Is it a countersunk screw with a washer of some kind?

A regular M3 screw did the trick really, but preferably one with a wide flat surface on the contact side to make good contact with the ring of the bearing. For me those were screws with a rounded top like the ones below.

Oddly enough the stock screws are countersunk screws (like this) and the washers counteract that shape. Afaic a regular m3 screw boils down to the same thing. I've been flying happily with that solution for a while now. If my setup creates too much friction I guess I'll find out eventually.

You could probably use one of these: http://m.ebay.com/itm/M2-5-Black-10-9-Al...nav=SEARCH

Or these ones. The torx head is also stronger and doesn't strip as easily as the hex/allen/Umbraco head:

So it's M2.5 or M3 and what length?

Sorry for the ultra late reply. Just to answer your question: it's an M2.5 screw. I have an M2.5x6 screw in there and that's going great.
