Can anyone let me know how the retaining clips are removed on a Vortex 250 pro? I'm trying to install a new Mobius camera mount but I'm not sure how these clips come off and I don't want to damage them?

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to remove the upper camera mount without taking the sides off? There is a metal spring clip that is supposed to line up on both sides of the quad with the aft screw holes but it's very difficult to put back on once you take the sides off. I was able to do it by using the back edge of an E-xacto knife to push it back into the tiny gap between the top plate and the side plate until I had the holes lined up and then put the screw in. It was not easy though.

Any help or links to guides on this would be appreciated.
