I think i'm gonna get the Quanum v2 (best at this price range?) as my Goggles, but not sure about video receiver and transmitter?
I am also tempted to go for the Eachine vr007.

5 Eachine vr007 is horrific, get a quanum v2 set, either a cheap 40 ch reveiver and transmitter, or get a boscam fr632 40c Diversity or the Skyzone RD40 Diversity reciver, and a TBS unify pro and any CCD Cam of your choice (Quality option would be a hs1177 or a pz0420)
Lowest price would be around 150 bucks for goggle, vrx, vtx, cam and some antennas, or about 200 if you choose the better vtx and vrx

0 I was thinking about quanum v2 + that PZ0420 camera, just not sure about transmitter\receiver.. quanum v2 are overall much better then eachine 007 goggles I heard

3 I have the Dominator v3, and compact goggles like FShark/ Skyzone are well worth the investment.
BUT,..... I flew on Quanum v2 for 6months before making the switch. If you're on a tight budget, the Quanum v2 is still the best "DIY goggles" out there. Receiver, I'd go for the new Quanum 32ch, or Boscam FR632.

0 20-May-2016, 02:00 PM (This post was last modified: 20-May-2016, 02:04 PM by mts49.) I was in the same situation a few months ago, starting from scratch. I went with the Quanum V2, HS1177 camera, RC832 vRx, and TS5823S vTx. I went with Aomway RHCP antennas.
The RC832 was around $20, but for around $50-60 you can get a diversity receiver like the suggested FR632 or RD40. This allows you to use two different style antennas and the receiver will automatically use the one that gets the strongest signal.
Some video transmitters have a regulator that puts out 5V to the camera, saving you some wiring. The one i mentioned does not, I would have bought one that does, knowing what i do now. However, some cameras need at least 5V and some vTx put out a range between 3.3 to 5V, meaning some camera/vTx combos may not work even though the specs lead you to believe that they would.
The FX line of video transmitters is pretty popular, for example the FX799T 200mw. Also the Eachine ET200 or Aomway 25/200mw switchable. If you fly alone then 600mw may be good, but if you fly with others you need to use 200mw. If you fly indoors or in a warehouse then 25mw may be okay.
Make sure the SMA connections all match too. There's SMA and RP-SMA, look for a pic of male and female of both next to each other to see the difference. I would pick one and get all your equipment the same so your antennas are interchangeable.
The Aomway antennas are actually pretty good. I wouldn't go cheaper than them, but if you really want great FPV signal, look at VAS, IBCrazy, TBS Triumph, etc for some of the best antennas available.

Another thing I forgot to mention. If you go with the HS1177, plan to have a few extra JST or XT60 connectors so you can make a simple wiring harness to configure the settings of the camera using the OSD menu and controller. Search Youtube for the optimal settings, there's a few good videos out there. Bulbafet shows how to make the wiring harness, Dark Peake and others have videos on the settings.
