RCX 2206 V3 Motor timing
#1
Anyone else using the new RCX 2206 2400 V3's on a 5 inch quad? What motor timing are you using, medium or medium/high?

Never seen much about messing about with the timing. A big factor in increasing timing would be AUW and prop selection.

I think most just leave it at default which medium. BLHeli32 will allow many nice adjustment like timing in degrees and current limiting. Timing is a big factor in powa, prop selection, heat and amp draw. In some RC car racing it's a huge factor and many classes require no software timing. It's an option that gets very little attention with the multi-rotor groups.

I got the v2 and left the blheli default of medium so far but never was entirely happy with it... I somehow feel like medium timing does not leave enough "dead time" between commutations and is wasting energy to some degree. I will try medium-high at some point, hoping that it might improve things a bit (while hoping that i actually understood things right and am doing the right thing Wink)
