QX7 Firmware
#1
In the United States is the ID of the latest firmware update equal to (x7-2.2.3 (ae5ac05b))?     I am having difficulty getting RSSI on the FRSKY XM+ receiver to work.   I wonder if the problem is firmware incompatibilities.  I have watched a lot of YouTube videos to no avail.

Thanks,
Chuck

Likely just have to update the firmware on the XM+, not the radio.

This is the version I have all my XM+'s update to.

Attached Files
.zip   XM+170313.zip (Size: 157.19 KB / Downloads: 75)

I did download that file and unzipped it I chose the file "XM+FCC170313-RSSI16.frk" and wrote it off to the receiver. Is this the correct
file?

Thanks,
Chuck

Yes. The original firmware did not have RSSI. This is the firmware that adds that to your XM+. I have been using that version since it was available with zero issues.

I think I have done all the recommendations correctly mentioned above but it still doesn't work.   Is there an option in the QX7 that I need to check/uncheck off?

Thanks in advance,
Chuck

You have the correct firmware loaded (XM+FCC170313-RSSI16.frk). I'm not sure if you've set up the RSSI channel, but with the "RSSI16" firmware installed you need to configure Betaflight to use channel 12 for RSSI. You can either do that manually in the Betaflight Configurator "Receiver" tab as shown in the image below...

Or you can just run the following commands in the CLI tab and it will do the same thing...

Code:
set rssi_channel = 16
save

When I go to the page where it says "Discover New Sensors", I do not get anything that says the Tx is getting a signal.

You won't get telemetry on the QX7. The XM+ doesn't support telemetry from the receiver back to the transmitter. All you've done by installing the new "RSSI16" firmware on the XM+ receiver is to cause the receiver to send RSSI data directly back to the FC on channel 16 (auxiliary channel 12). You can then view the RSSI data on the OSD in your goggles. With the XM+ receiver you will never be able to get the RSSI value on your transmitter. If you want RSSI and other telemetry data on your transmitter you will need an R-XSR receiver.

Yep, it is not through Telemetry, but an AUX channel.
