quiet quad ?
#1
hi guys,

recently been thinking about building something on the other side of the scale... maybe not the fastests/most agile...

but how to make it quiet as peaceful morning.

i have few 450 frames that i can use (bought for a buck so... they are still laying around)

first i thought this will be another 450... but then i figured out that i don't want one which is regular Smile

so goal is only one... quiet as possible...

what props/ motors you recommend ?

again goal is fluid and quiet experience of flight... maybe i put a runcam on it later on... but maybe...
All the best

Hm only thing i can think of is, large props & low kV... But tbh have zero experience on "stealth topic" Smile on contrary, my rage210 screams the loudest of all the quads i heard in real life.

All my friends use tri- or quad-blade props, they are a lot more "silent" than my 2-blades...

PS: on helicopters, people stick small triangle profiles onto the leading edge of the main blades, i'll check if i find a good pic later. Maybe it would work on large quad blades as well.

LOL sounds like you should be building a glider not a quad Big Grin and paint it like a eagle or something Smile
The only way to minimize noise is to reduce power really... use low KV motors with large prop... use really stiff props such as carbon fiber Smile
