0 16-May-2021, 11:16 AM (This post was last modified: 16-May-2021, 11:18 AM by SpicyRamen.) I'm waiting on an ELRS ES24TX to arrive which they say can improve my range. My question is do I need to change anything on my quad like VTX etc so that I will get the best benefit from changing my RX/TX? I have a green hornet V2 and my friend has a Protek25 and wants to ask the same question. We have just both started with FPV and don't know much yet. We use the same EV800D goggles.

Most modern VTX's with a high power output will usually be good enough for most people. You always want your RC Link to outrun your video which ELRS will certainly do if you are running a 5.8GHz video link.

100 no there is no need to change anything else.
you can probably upgrade your vtx that the poweroutput matches the range of the radio gear. what vtx do you use?
