Quanum Wisp 110 modded frame
#1
I have been flying this little frame for several months now. It is not perfect, but you can slightly improve it.

Here is what I did:

Completelly remove top plate (too heavy with it). The only thing I didn't remove is a small part of top plate which holds FPV camera (see the picture below).
Cut the back part of bottom plate. It doesn't make sense in my build (also see picture).

Buy new grommets, ones that come with the frame are very low quality.

Also, glue grommets to the frame with CA or similar glue.

Put insulation tape below every motor to secure plastic caps (glue it also).

Put a tinny drop of CA glue on every Propeller mounting hole before installing it on motor. That way you prevent unavoidable yaw drift.

It survived numerous chrashes built like this. Only had to resolder my antenna few times because it is first on impact if it crashes on top.

Here are specs:
Quanum wisp 110 frame (whitout top plate)
Scisky32 FC
CL-0820-17 "Dark Edition", motors
700TVL CMOS 1/4 CMOS FPV Camera
FX758-2 5.8G 200mW 32CH Vtx
FPV 5.8GHz Micro CL TX Antenna
Parrot Rolling Spider Props
Turnigy Graphene 750mAh, Nanotech 750mAh and 260mAh

AUW with Graphene battery: 60g

Taranis x9d plus with OrangeRX DSM2 Module
Fatshark v2 dvr

I'm running BetaFlight 2.1.6.

Please, don't forget that every microquad is different so you will probably have to retune it a little bit.

PID controller: LuxFloat
ROLL: 2.4/0.06/61
PITCH:2.5/0.064/64
YAW:8.2/0.049/51

ROLL rate:0.6
PITCH rate:0.6
YAW rate: 0.85

On Taranis another 35 expo on aileron, elevator and rudder.

My 2 last videos, enjoy [Image: smile.gif]

Thanks for the tip about new grommets, I didn't like the original ones which were really sloppy Smile
Great video by the way!

Thank you, yes I saw your review and orderd new grommets at the same time as I ordered Wisp frame.

The most important thing that I found out is glueig props on motor shaft. It is very tight fit, but you can remove props if you apply more force.
That way I got rid of annoying yaw drift on 50-100% throttle when running higher C batteries.
