Quanum V2 Pro Goggle LCD is Kaputt - Why?
#1
I took delivery of my goggles yesterday and, so, I was trying to test the screen for function. I checked the polarity, plugged in a 9V power supply and it came alive with random white static and a red 'no signal' on the screen. I then plugged in my Runcam 2, turned it on and the Runcam logo came up and then the picture and it was perfect. Great!

However, I then pressed one of the buttons on the back of the screen, the '-' (minus) one I think, and it suddenly went to a lit black screen.
With the RC2 disconnected I get vertical lined, black static but with the RC2 plugged in I get an effect where you can see large blocks of different toned, vertical black static that change depending on where the camera is pointing i.e. the light source intensity.

I, now, can't get the normal static or picture back regardless of powering down or unplugging.

Any ideas?
Tom.

Sorry, sadly I don't have an answer for you. What I'd try is to open the monitor an check how the connections look inside. If you need some picture reference, I've put some photos in this scree mod thread: http://intofpv.com/t-clean-dvr-install-o...um-goggles

Normally, I would dive right in, however, I've begun the RMA process with Hobbyking and I don't want to jeopardise getting a replacement at the moment.

Cheers,
Tom.
