Quad flips after replacing ESC
#1
Hi,

I recently got an ESC desync issue and my quad fell out of the sky everytime i punch and flip. Ended up frying my esc and motor when trying to repair it.
So i got a new ESC from LittleBee but i realized my previous ones has 'Opto' printed on it and the spare i have has 'Dshot' printed on the sticker. They are the same current rating and everything.
After i changed and calibrated the ESCs i tried to fly it and it flips everytime i try to throttle up.

I checked my props and motor rotation and they are the correct way. I also flashed all the escs with the same firmware. But the problem is still there!

Can anyone enlighten me of the issue?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum hanism, sorry I can't help, I have no experience with brushless rigs, but I'm pretty sure that one of our guru's will be along to help out soon...

You need to check again.

If the quad flips on trying to take off, then something must be configured incorrectly. Check that:

1. The motors all spin in the correct direction.
2. The 3D model of the quad in the configurator moves like the quad does if you pick it up and move it on each of the axes.
3. Your propellers are mounted correctly on each motor and are the right way up.
4. Your minimum throttle value is set correctly.
5. The ESCs are configured correctly with the "Multi" version of the firmware.
6. The ESCs are correctly calibrated. (If not using DShot.)

If you re-check these things and still can't find anything wrong, please tell us:

1. What flight controller you are using and what firmware.
2. What frame.
3. What ESCs.
4. Provide some pictures of the quad and how the ESCs and motors are connected.

Also, I'm a little puzzled. Did you just replace one ESC, or all of them? If it was only one and the ESCs are not identical, then flashing them all with the same firmware sounds incorrect. When did this desync problem start? From the first flights or later on? Did you build the quad yourself? How would you describe your experience level in soldering and building?
