I have the QAV250 and Sparrow R3, Both quads are excellent.

This is only my view on the 2 quads mentioned.

QAV250.

Pros
Easy to build. Fairly tough (but see cons).
Fly's great when tuned right and of course subject to the experience of the pilot.
Will fit a GoPro or Runcam, Mobius etc.

Cons
Limited battery size if you use the battery space between the top and bottom plate, as the battery will butt up against the FC or hang out the back, or both.
The PDB in my view limits the size of ESC's you can fit..Forget KISS 24map, Littlebee 30amp and the like, unless you put the esc's on the arms.
The frame warps, has a slight twist in it even from new. and a decent hit causes de-lamination of the carbon pretty quickly

The VTX antenna may come into contact with the battery.
The LEDS are a waste of time and really serve no purpose unless you intend flying LOS all your life, and even then they are limited.

Overall on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being Awesome, I give it a 3.5

I can only comment on the Sparrow R3 here.

Pros
Looks awesome,
Fly's great
Well laid out
XT60 adaptor screws to top plate
Loads of options available for it from the designer and reseller, can even make the Sparrow quad into a Hex.

Cons
Can be tricky to build for a newbie into quads.

Overall on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being Awesome, I give it a 4.0

Both of the quads are good, and both require you to be a contortionist to get everything in the way you want, The QAV pdb setup is a real PIA to be honest.

As I have both I can honestly say I do not fly either any more, For the most part I fly my 210 size and 180's.
