Thanks Oscar, and big thanks to Artur for the great review.

The QAV-X is a great successor to the QAV210, which was my favorite frame thus far.

The QAV-X embodies many of the trends from the evolution of the quadcopter hobby in the past few months:
* Lightweight, compact X frame
* Default aggressive FPV camera tilt
* Bottom mounted battery - the protective plate is a nice touch
* Simplified HD camera carry. Here it goes a step further - HD camera is optional, located in the middle, removing it preserves front-to-back weight distribution.

The crash resistance has probably been somewhat compromised, especially in the 3mm version, in favor of weight and performance - which again has been the trend of recent.

The Banggood clone looks very similar, tho not identical, unlike some of the better QAV210 clones. I'd be curious to see it built if somebody has already ordered it, tho the QAV-X price is reasonable enough to keep it competitive.
The next build will be perfect! | Fleet and build info | YouTube Channel |
