Prop choices
#1
I'm sure this must be covered somewhere on the forum, but I just can't find it...

I've just had my second flying session, and while it was *far* more successful than my first, I managed to crash a couple of times - the last crash shredding one of my CF props and breaking another. Whistling

So here's the big question. I'm running 6030s now on my Nighthawk 250 (almost this exact setup: Nighthawk 250). Do I get more of the same size, or a large order of some 5030s or 5045s?

long term goal is fpv, just want to get the hang of LOS first.

Thanks
Ray

I would get KingKong 5040s. They are pretty indestructible and will last you many crashes!

Xtopher is right, you should get some durable props they would last a lot longer Smile CF props isn't designed for mini quad Smile
and 5" does the job just fine, either 5040 triblade or 5045 HBN.

Just stay away from the racerstar 5042 props! Those must be the worst props in the history of quads! It felt like my quad was running 3s batteries

I got a first batch of new props last week (some quick-shipping/cheap 5030s from unmannedtechshop. I also grabbed a couple of these but haven't tried them out yet).

What. A. Difference. Big Grin

On the 6030s the quad was going bonkers - SO sensitive.

With the 5030s things were just that little bit smoother and more usable. I actually managed to fly around the garden a bit - taking off and landing with some modicum of control (assisted by ANGLE mode). I'm not sure if the prop guards I've since installed helped, either.  Wink

I have some of these 5040 and 5045 Kingkongs from banggood on the way, but I'm definitely sold on the whole 5" now.
