Project: Micro brushed cleanflight capable fpv multicopter from scratch
#1
Ok guys, I need your expert help here.
Project: Micro brushed cleanflight capable fpv multicopter from scratch
Funds: 100$ quad and tx; 100$ FPV gear
Explanation: I am currently flying Syma x5c, and my single biggest choke for entering the big league is the transmitter. I have my mind set on taranis, but I won't be able to afford it till December this year. But i want to practice!
Since Syma's transmitter is not compatible with anything, and x5c's yaw rate is abysmal, I have to get the whole shabbang from scratch, and its a budget build.
I am looking at Micro Scisky controller, as it has DSM2 receiver integrated, but I need to find me a cheap DSM2 transmitter with atleast 5, if not 6 channels (i want to be able to switch acro and horizont while i learn, and if possible rate and expo). i do not shy away from second hand gear as money is at a premium. i would consider turnigy 9x, if i could find it without module for around 30$, as then i'd put in frsky telemetry module and build from there. Frame is no problem as i have access to 3d printers. i have abundance of 7mm motors for syma, so thats not a problem either.
After that i'll probalby get quanum fpv set.
any questions, info, links or brainfarts are greatly appreciated.

The Orange RX or Spektrum transmitters are DSM2 compatible, keep a lookout on eBay for cheap Spektrum transmitters. I have a DX6i myself and it's great, although I am running out of channels.
Current quad: ZMR 250 / DYS SE2205 / Littlebee 20A ESCs / Drone Lab 1500 4S / Naze32 Rev5 / BF 2.7.1
FPV: Runcam Skyplus / Aomway 200mw VTX / Fatshark DomV1

it has a Frsky DJT module.. i can put an orange module as well in the box as well (never used! supports DSM2) if you want it Smile

flashed with ER9x firmware, back light installed... depends on where you are... outside of UK i cannot include the battery though...

PM me if interested...
