PowerOSD Pro2
#1
Hi Folks....

Has anyone had trouble with the PowerOSD Pro2 by QuadRevo?  I got one unit that obviously bad......it would burn you about four seconds after plugging it in.  Sent it back to QuadRevo and they replaced it.  Now I don't understand how this is doing what it's doing, but some of the pin out voltages are reversed.  Based on their documentation. the VTX and Camera supply voltages are suppose to be 10v and the supply for the FC should be 5v.  However, I made the stupid assumption that their documentation was correct and did not check it until things started not working.  The VTX and camera pin outs both have only 5v while the supply for the FC is 10v?????  How is that even possible???  I keep thinking I've got to be doing something wrong, but it is what it is.....I don't think the meter is lying to me.  IF one of you could prove to me that I am indeed an idiot, I sure would appreciate it!!!

EDIT: It's confirmed.....I am an idiot.  I figured it out.  I was placing the ground probe on a positive pad instead of a negative pad.  In one place this doubled the voltage and in another it cut it in half........not sure how thats happenening. Anyway.....I think I got it cyphered out.  TTFN! Big Grin

You think you're an idiot? I got one last weekend and got it all connected. Worked as advertised and the OSD was very impressive. Decided the pigtail was too short and soldered up a new one, not noticing I soldered on the XT-60 reverse. Poof

Yeah...I'm pretty sure I'm and idiot.....at least some of the time.  As far as what you did......I had a similar incident  and sent a naze32 off to the FC burial ground in the sky.  We've all been there at one time or another I would imagine.

That's OK, it was perfect justification to order the BrainFPV RE1 FC and mPB. Just got it set up in dRonin and just waiting for the weather to clear so I can do the first autotune and see how it flies.
