I has a SP F3 mini on the way.
I have a question regarding powering the FC.
The board has a built-in BEC and headers for power.
Do I just connect a servo type cable to the power headers and then solder it directly to the PDB feeding off the main LiPo?
That way the the FC is getting the full power of the LiPo?
Is this correct?

My ESCs are OPTOs, so they cannot power the FC.

If there is a BEC on the FC, the job of the BEC is to convert voltage of the lipo to 5V so your FC doesn't get fried.

And yes what you said is correct, servo type of connector should work fine powering the spracing mini...

Warning!
The voltage regulator is known to burn often when connected directly to lipos! Better power the board via one Vin hole! or to add a capacitor on the vbat ports...
That is why the mkII version is out on seriouslypro.com btw
