Popular HD cameras for Mini Quad FPV 2016
#1
There was a survey recently in our FB Group about what the most popular HD cameras are for FPV.

For full detail of what people's opinions are please see original post here.

Original question:

Quote:we had already few posts about HD cameras but mostly comparison about 2-3 choices. I am in a middle of buying one and wanted to ask for an advice as the choice is quite big.
So there is runcam 2, Xiaomi Yi, Yi2, Git2, foxeer, Firefly 6S,7S, eken H8 and H8Pro and of course more expensive GoPro (4, session and coming 5).
There is also git3 coming, some more news will be available next month as they say.
I would also use that camera outside the RC world for trips, hiking, biking etc. So that matters too. Probably gopro size is the best as there are many addons available.

  1. GoPro Session
  2. Xiaomi Yi Camera
  3. GoPro HERO 4
  4. RunCam 2
  5. Go Pro Session 5
  6. Foxeer Legend 2
  7. Mobius 1/2
  8. Foxeer
  9. GITUP GIT2
  10. Firefly 6S
  11. Yi 4k Action Camera 2
  12. Firefly 7S
  13. Eken H8 Action Cam
  14. Eken H8 Pro

I absolutely love my Session. Its a fantastic camera and has a perfect shape to fit on my 250 quad.

Which is the best camera in a mobius/runcam style shape?

I know this forum is sponsored by runcam, so sorry to say but i'm a bit disappointed by the runcam 2 lighting quality.

Not sure about "best", but I really like the Mobiius Mini (27 grams).  Here is a thread I posted earlier with info, videos (not by me) and links to other info.

Only drawback is battery recording time (~30 minutes).  However, you can wire it to an accurate external BEC.

I really like the Eken H8. I've already broken two Yis in unfortunate crashes and thought I'd give the H8 a try, and at $40, didn't seem like too big of a risk.

I'm pretty happy with the results:

Love my Foxeer Legend. I don't know about the other brands, but with the Legend, I have it connected to my receiver and can control all the basic functions from an aux channel on my radio
