Polystack Stackable Flight Controller
#1
I was watching one of Joshua Bardwell's videos the other night and I noticed this new flight controller. It seems like a really good idea as everything is stackable and completely modular. PDB, flight controller, OSD and receiver can all be stacked in one unit which uses connectors to keep wiring to a minimum.

This is the video I watched and this is the manufacturers website.

Sweet open source idea!

Let's assume: F4 FC + OSD + Pololu breakout + RX breakout puts the user on about $140. Not mentioning serial breakout or openlog board.
I'm afraid that the guy behind it will hit a wall when chinese manufacturers will catch on.... Hope not!

Great that you can make your choices here or make your own mods. I will watch this. Thanks HamsterFPV!
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car

Hey thats my stuff! :-) I'm glad you are excited about it! I am too! The files for the boards are available here: https://github.com/chickadee-tech I also just sent Oscar a set today so we'll see what he thinks about it.

I realize its quite expensive now. There are lots of reasons for it but I'm looking for early adopters. So, if you are interested in experimenting with it, this code will give 20% off: INTOFPV0816 (Please let me know if you think this is inappropriate advertising. I don't intend it to be.)

I'm also happy to answer any questions about the design, future plans or all of the random business stuff that happened to make it a reality.

Wow, that is a really cool idea. Imagine other manufacturers supporting the same standard and suddenly all our items are stackable. Tannewt, I hope the idea takes off for your sake and ours!

I tried using the discount code, but I can't get it to work.

Yeah, thats my hope! Making it open source should make that easier to do too. I'd love it if other people hacked on my boards and made them better. I'll be livestreaming the VTX design in an hour or two on YouTube too.

Oh bummer! It looks all set up OK to me. Try entering it on the right and clicking "update cart" on the left. Emailing [email protected] will also get noticed by me sooner too.

Great review Oscar. The polystack system seems awesome. Hope it keeps going because it could lead to a very exciting future where people can get into this hobby and literally plug-and-play with a quad.
