PLEASE HELP: INDUCTRIX
#16
Man, its a BNF (Bind and Fly) not RTF (Ready to Fly) so there is going to be some setting up to do. If you buy RTF then the TX and RX have already been pre-configured to communicate with each other, but despite this many times RTF rigs still need some configuring to suit a pilots personal preference. With a bind and fly you have to get the TX talking to your RX (Receiver) and FC (Flight Controller) yourself...

If you are going to get further 'IntoFPV' then you will need to use BetaFlight for tuning in future, for example as your skill progresses, you will find that you want the quad to do faster flips and spins, the only way to do this is by changing your rates, and I think the only way to change rates is through BetaFlight? I haven't used BF (or any configurator) much personally, and I understand that all the options in the app, on top of all the options on the TX, are quite daunting, but if you watched the vid I posted above you will see that its only 5 or 6 setting that need changing to set up an arm switch, failsafe and confirm that the FC is configured for a brushed setup. You will also notice that he changes the min & max throttle setting too, which is what I first suggested might be causing your problem...

The video is only 3 mins, it can't be that complicated!? Just download BF and have a go, if it doesn't work... At least you tried!

Like Tom says it's going to be basically impossible to address your issue as you won't be able to see what the flight controller is actually trying to do without connecting it to betaflight. Once you connect it will be much easier for people to help you diagnose the issue because you can see what the flight controller is seeing from the transmitter.

Inductrix is an Horizonhobby product. The BnF will work fine with (most) spektrum BNF compatible transmiters. ( Dx6I, DXe, DX6 / DX8 etc )
As far as i know, the inductrix pro will bind with Spektrum transmitters right out of the box. I dont know exactly about taranis and orange modules. Inductrix uses DSMX.

You might want to try to arm it like this :
Hold stick to right upon start up,it will beep. Now you are ready to fly.

if not, you could try the following ( Quote ) :

QX7 IRX4 bind to Induxtrix & others
I just set mine up yesterday with QX7 and IRX4, these are my notes:

To Bind to Spektrum NanoQX, FPVNanoQX and Inductrix:

⦁ on Tx Model SETUP screen:
⦁ Set Internal RF to OFF
⦁ Set External RF
⦁ Mode to MULTI and DSM
⦁ Subtype to X 22ms
⦁ Ch Range is already CH1 - 7 --- this may be able to be reduced to 4??
⦁ highlight Bnd
⦁ Power up NanoQX
⦁ press ENTER while on Bnd on Tx
⦁ wait for solid blue light
⦁ unplug NanoQx
⦁ should be good to go
⦁ NOTE: had to reverse Aileron and Rudder

If it does not help, you could allways use BF. Smile
My Inductrix (FPV) doesn't have BF- FC... but if it had it would be nice.

Hope you get it starting.

Ended up not getting it to work and got the Blade MLP4DSM instead but still can’t get it to work. Any tips there?

The only option left, is indeed Betaflight. Just hook it up, and you can actualy see what the problem is.
Maybe your stick cant reach the end to go arming. Maybe extend the stick ends may help. Then use stick-arming again. You can actually see it all in BF.

Can’t figure out how to hook it up to BF :/ I don’t know the board or anything

There's a micro-USB socket on the board isn't there?

Just plug it into your computer with a USB cable. You'll need to install the CP2102 drivers if it's not automatically recognised.

If nothing happens when you connect it to the computer - as in no 'new device connected' beep, your USB cable is a 'charge only' cable and you need to get a 'sync' cable instead.

Hello Spinner - To connect your quad to BetaFlight, start the BF configurator and plug in the USB cable so that the quad itself is plugged in to the computer.  At this point, int he upper right corner of the configurator you will see the port that the drone is recognized on next the CONNECT button.

The BF configurator is an APP that is available for Chrome.  I cannot think of any way you are going to be able to see the state of the drone without connecting it.  What part of BF is not working for you?

Hey All!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but the OP is having the exact same problem I am.  The one up here for me... I know a littel better how to use Betaflight.

So here is what I know:

Blade Inductrix Pro BNF
Taranis X9D Plus
Orange TX box

I have flashed BetaFlight 3.2.5 (i think)
I have been able to pair the quad with the TX.
I have a proper Arming switch configured.
In the Reciever Tab - Roll, Yaw, Pitch - All Respond as expected
THROTTLE - sits at 1017 and does not move regardless of stick position.
I CAN ARM - and when I do, the motors spin up to about what I would expect with them 1018 in the movement of the stick.

Channel Monitor on taranis shows the throttle moving, it just does not register in BetaFlight.
I played around and switch THR and ELE in Mixer - The Locked THR moved with the channel to the ELE axis and the ELE moved as I would exepct on what is normally the THR axis... so I know the TX is good and I am pretty sure setup is good.

what am I missing?  I almost feel like this a problem on the FC board, but I have no way to verify.

Are you sure you have "BRUSHED" selected in the CONFIGURATION tab, ESC/MOTOR FEATURES.
