ok i'll shut up now

*whisper* Skyrim is awesome!

Hell yeah! I got a PS1 only because of GT... i had RC cars before, but after GT i had to modify transmitter in order to have throttle on the right stick ... ROFL  and still have now. Big Grin And MGS was the bomb. MGS3 too. MGS4 too, which also included MGO2, which was my first ever online game and got me addicted so hard lol but no regrets, that game was near damn perfect. And in turn MGO3 (online part of MGS5) was the biggest disappointment in my 30 years of gaming experience, no joke, not exaggerating.

Personally i found Dirt Rallye to be one of the best games on PS4 so far. It is somewhat FPV if played "right". Wink
This guy took it even further:

LOL and after that, i found this:

fun!

Unfortunatley in the second one I keep seeing him hover that hand over the shifter and no matter how great of a driver he is I want to slap it! Be more confident with your sifts and keep your hands on the wheel until you're certain you need to shift. Then again... I've seen worse habits from racers lol :p

It's interesting to listen to the navigator... I've done road rallys before (the original rally which typically includes public roads and speed limits) but never rally rally so I never knew some of the stuff that they call out. It doesn't seem like the stuff he's saying matches what is happening in the game but that's probably because I don't know rally :p

The co-driver voice is often way ahead in time, means if there's a few quick turns in a row it can be that he's 2 turns ahead... to me it is the ultimate challenge in terms of concentration, so focused on visuals, at the same time "uhm what did he just say" and BAM crash. Big Grin

PS: If i were the driver from second vid, i'd use the paddles on the wheel lol... but tbh i think i'd be too slow on a steering wheel, i'm so used to playing with controller. Smile

PPS: This couple is funny too: Big Grin

But what i'm really really REALLY looking forward to now is, the revival of MGO2 on PS3 official firmware. So far it needed a custom firmware on PS3 to work, but it's announced for 28. of april to work on any PS3 again...

Not posting videos though, as in some countries it's rated 18+ ... need to find a video that goes with the forum guidelines, still love the game, modes, the mechanics, characters, voices, animations, all of it Smile

Paddles are OK if you've trained yourself to 9&3 like the guy in your last video shows. (they are funny btw... I can't understand a word but its funny cause she sounds kinda bored)... even with being committed to 9&3 on the wheel it takes a whole different set of thinking... especially if you have to shift while you are in a turn which of course wouldn't be optimal since it would upset what little grip and control you have I figure.

Wouldn't it be just... easier being able to keep both hands on the wheel while shifting?

Anyway, i found an MGO2 video without any killing... ROFL

I'm jealous of you guys... My xbox 360 is on its last legs (besides which the TV takes up too much space in our temporary shed, while we are building our new house!) the graphics card in my pc died a month or so ago, my PC its-self is messing about on startup now too... And the clutch in my van just went, oh yeah and we are building a house, so funds have to be sparingly allocated (via argument with Mrs Thriftyass) for (stupid) games, (useless) toys and (I don't know why you cant just use a hand saw and screwdriver to build the whole fliipin house!) power tools.

Ah no man! sure he's like "...but dude its not even 20 bucks to replace" Ok, you buy the replacement, mod it up and flash silverxxx firmware, then maybe you can tell me what your time is worth!?

Hell yeah much more intimidating, my 1st quad build ended up with flames coming out of a component on the RealAcc board that Sandra and BG sent to me for review. I hope that the house doesn't start spewing flames when we connect it to mains power!

So we had a slight bit of confusion leading from building regulations which state -
"Any person or owner performing work connected with the construction or demolition of a building has the right to build a temporary builders shed or shed's"
regulation goes on to say
"While not expressly for the purpose of habitation, temporary builders sheds may be used to accommodate security personnel."

So we built a temporary shed and were, personally,  providing security for our site while doing some landscaping work, planting trees, herbs and other plants. We started digging trenches for electrical cables, storm water and sewerage...

The regulations did not state that plans for the house must be submitted prior to constructing a temporary builders shed, but that is the case...

There was a development with approved plans that was proposed to be on part of our land, the development was scrapped about 10 years ago, but local residents got confused by the fact that the developer (who owns a local restaurant) was not the owner of the land on which the proposed development would have been built. So when residents asked us who we had purchased the land from, and the name was not the one they expected this led to accusations that my wife and I were squatting... On our own land!?

This led to investigation by the council/municipality who said that we must leave our tools unattended overnight and we are not allowed to stay there (even in a caravan!) until plans have been submitted along with a formal request for a temporary structure.

So we are renting a shed that is smaller than the one we built, but it at least has electricity!!
This is a screenshot of my 1st attempt at using google sketchup to give the architect an idea of what we are after.

Yeah, but hey, I kinda get it (not being called a bloody squatter! but the red tape)... There is lots of indigenous wildlife and its a conservation area. We spoke to our closest neighbor 100m up the road quite a few times, but otherwise (from the view of the guys holding the roll of red tape) we just turned up and built a structure without telling anyone what we were doing. Just got ahead of ourselves on step 1 is all!

Thanks very much man, pretty simple. Single pitch roof to easily catch rainwater, high ceilings to make the open space feel larger and help minimise some of this fierce South African heat, keeping the bedroom an open mezzanine should help too. Thinking about adding a deck outside the bedroom, 3m x 4.5m, would make a perfect spot to fly from, not to mention the wife's main concern - sea view ("maybe love." I'm not entirely convinced!!!)The relative of a friend makes concertina doors for shops and malls, so hoping to get a deal to give us the option to open the whole bottom front of the house, well not the bathroom of course Big Grin

Ive personally always been a fan of "open concept" type layouts like that. +1 to the balcony (not that you dont have enough to build already Tongue ) would be awesome to fly from!
