Plans for build, input appreciated
#1
Hi, new to the whole fpv-thing. Thinking of building a semi-race micro quad using a Furibee H36 board.
I wanted a beginner-style quad but with some kick, providing a screenshot of the parts i planned to use along with the H36 board. I know it's basic, but it's a beginning. Bigger battery will be ordered too. Will get a better flightcontroller later on.
Mod can move thread if it's in the wrong place.

Hi Bjorn, and welcome to the forum!

From what I hear the H36 has a bit more punch and pitch than the E010, its a bit faster and recovers from flips better than the Eachine...

I have put my E010 board onto the Whoopie frame (Designed by Oscar, the creator of this forum, {if you want one send him a PM, don't get it from BangGood!}) I find that the E010 pitch authority limits the capability of the 8520 motors and the frame. You get masses of punch, but still very little pitch, roll or yaw, so no speed which is quite frustrating after a day or 2!!

I have bought the racerstar 8.5x20mm motors and they are very punchy but one of the wires from mine disconnected from the motor can after 3 days, so be careful with them! They also KILL batteries very quickly, I also bought these motors and props from BG, the props are rubbish but the motors are quite good, they do have very short wires tho, still pretty punchy but don't seem to have the excessive draw of the racerstar's, which make my little (150 {stock} - 250 {cheap} mAh) batteries last a bit longer. I am going to write a comparison review very soon, I just need to build myself a thrust meter...

BTW, I am using Ladybird props, which seemed a great combination with the Racerstar motors, but you will need bigger batteries than the ones that come with the H36, please do yourself a favour - DON'T buy cheap batteries!

I hope this helps...

Thank you very much for the tips and for the welcome, the battery i've 'been looking at is a 500mah 1C from a good rc-shop here in Sweden. The props seem to be a bit of a hassle though, i've looked around on banggood since many seem to use BG and find good props. The F36 (H36) Frame is 70mm as far as i can see, and the Qx95 is, well 95mm and 55mm props are the "recommended" size for that frame. But there are sooo many different props for 1mm shafts, it gets pretty confusing to say the least! I've also "been looking at an affordable transmitter to use with future FC's, but i have no idea what model to choose since i'm on a bit of a budget but want something with good tuning capabilities. Thinking about the FrSky FS-T6, but DSMX, PPM, SBUS those things i have no idea on what is what.

Try find out the answer to these questions one by one Big Grin
I am sure you can find the answers mostly by googling... if still not sure ask in the forum...
Try not to squeeze all the questions in one post, it will make our lives easier, and people are more willing to help when the problem is not huge LOL Big Grin
