Photography Light box
#1
It might seem a bit irrelevant, but it's not. I use this lightbox to take nice pictures for FPV products Smile
Here is how it's made.

- cardboard box
- utility knife
- tracing paper (or tissue paper)
- large white card

1. Cut out the most of the cardboard on 3 faces of the box, leaving some 2cm edges.

2. cover the 3 faces with tracing papers (or thin tissue papers)

3. Insert a large sheet of white poster card as background

4. We will require some lighting for the box, I am printing these LED lights holders

5. I am using 30 LEDs per side. These LEDs are not really bright enough, but okay for now

6. These LEDs are RGB LEDs that can be controlled by an Arduino board, in the future I will put a potentiometer in there so I can adjust the colour maybe. The system can be powered by LiPo batteries that i have laying around, voltage are then converted to 5V.

7. LEDs are in operation

8. My pictures are all taken by a smart phone (mostly iPhone)

9. Here is an example !

Printing 2 perpendicular sheets of plastic - you're getting lazy Oscar Big Grin

But in the subject - nice build, now we know one of your dirty secrets Wink

For the lightning you can try some MR16 DC 12V light bulbs like that one: http://www.banggood.com/MR16-7W-700-750L...30660.html
That's a random pick, 700LM is probably overkill - there are some dimmable ones in around 300 LM range, these willl probably be better and you can install more if needed.

Haha yes I have to admit I literally print the most stupid things on my printer Big Grin

Those light bulbs look good! I might grab a few and power them with LiPo LOL But I also like those RGB LED as I can adjust the colour to create different vibes Big Grin

Thanks Oscar for inspiration, I went for a bit of different approach and made a base for a softlight powered from mains.

All I need is some white thin bed sheets to soften the light up and start building another one. Also probably a less powerful light bulb as a single 75 Watt one blinds my phone lens hehe

Will see how it turns out on next review Wink

Cheers!

Very nice Smile
I like the foil paper reflector Big Grin
I think you might need one more for left and right so you don't get too much shadow

Yes, I will make a second one and soften both with a white sheet of fabric Smile

I've done of lot photography in my other hobby. I design and build models (usually spaceships) out to Lego. When I take pictures I usually just place it on white cardboard and but some diffused lights up. Here's a link to my page https://www.flickr.com/photos/xtopher98/
