Over coming the fear of crashing
#1
I think one of the biggest fears anyone starting out in FPV is crashing. but once we learn to accept that it's all part of flying, that it comes with the terroratory and it's enevitable then we can start to spend less time worrying that we're going to crash, and we spend more time learning how to fly so that we crash less. I was able to overcome one of the hardest places have ever tried to fly. I found this place months ago but was always scared to fly here. till today.

What a great place to practice! I bet it's almost better to have something above as well as below to help keep you centered. Nice flying!

thanks bro. yah it really helps with throttle control, I been scared to fly this place for months even tho it's only 5 minutes away from where I live, but I figured if I stay scared, and stay away then I'll never learn. You can tell I was nervous cause I kept bouncing of the ground.  Big Grin

Nicely done Jimmy! How did you manage to get the place to yourself?  No other cars, people etc? Confused

thanks sirdude.  Big Grin  it's a parking structure at the city college by where I live. they don't have weekend classes, and the people that do work on the weekends all park on the lower levels where they have to walk less.

Nice video jimmy, I think you have a very valid point, crashing makes for better understanding of both flying and rebuilding, my forte, I think, is repairs, as I crash lots and break things often Wink

thanks 2strokesmoke. I think once we accept the fact that we're going to crash regardless of where we're at we're more willing to try things. and you can't learn unless you try right?

For sure, I've been watching my buddy progress in leaps and bounds recently, he's not scared and has, for some time, been telling me to let go, it's been a tricky transition to the goggles for me so it's taken some time, but I'm getting there ish Smile

just keep at bro and one day it's just going to click and you're going to get it. it could be just one little tiny detail and once you figure it out you're going to start doing things you thought you would never do.
