OSD, smart audio but no video
#1
Hi!

Im kinda embarrassed writing here again for help but im out of options and before i rage quit this hobby i thought i could give this a chance.

New FC and ESC stack came yesterday and everything is working smooth, motors spinning and receiver is bound and connected.

Stack: Mamba APP F722 mk1
VTX: TBS Unify PRO 5G8 HV Race
Camera: Runcam Swift 2

I have connected everything to the pins shown in the diagram, i get the betaflight OSD visible, can use the smart audio withe the transmitter but NO video. My first guess was that the camera was broken but i tried unplugging the camera from a fully working quad and got the same result.

I never used TBS unify VTX before so the unlocking process was new to me but i got the hang of it after a couple of tries.

Could it really be a DOA stack or am i missing something?!

Thanks!

Since you're getting smart audio control and osd properly you've eliminated the fcu video out and serial. Make sure you're wiring the camera power, ground, and video in properly. Then make sure you're testing with a lipo powering it all, as usb will not power the 9v regulator to the camera. If all that is right, then it looks like the 9v regulator or something else is bad on the fcu.

Connect your camera directly to the vtx via the signal wires or video wires and confirm if you get video.

This is surprising because you mentioned earlier that you were getting OSD over but no video from the Camera.

You also mentioned that you tried another camera from another quad.

Quick question: Do you see a black video or a snowy video?

Band/Channel are correctly set on both Goggles and VTX?

Yes im so frustrated with this. Gray screen with OSD overlay when i have the camera connected to the FC.
If i connect camera directly to VTX i see only black screen without OSD overlay.

Those symptoms mean you have a bad camera. Try a different camera.
