Opinion on Foxeer Cameras?
#1
Hello! I am fairly new to the multicopter/FPV hobby, and I know most people use RunCam, but I have been looking at some Foxeer cameras as well, the Predator Micro and the Monster v2 look particularly interesting.

I have heard mixed things about Foxeer. What is everyone's opinion on them here?

Anyone with experience with the above mentioned cameras?

Have a look at Joshua Bardwell's reviews of these cameras. Personally, I thought that the Monster 2 looked rather poor.

It seemed for a while like the HS1177 (foxeer) was pretty much the standard. The swift of course was equal, but when I would read about it people generally compared the swift to the HS1177 rather than the other way around.

My biggest problem with foxeer cameras are the stupid little screws... the threads always strip and I am always trying to find a better way to keep my camera angle solid.

That said, I had a horrible customer service experience with runcam and will never buy one of their products again if I can find an alternative from a competitor.

Interesting. If you no longer use RunCam, what are you using these days? I also just read about the new Caddx cameras.

The Caddx turbo micro SDR1 has some very impressive specs, I am still failing to find a micro DVR that will record 1080p at 60FPS to make it rival the split mini though...

if you are considering the Runcam Eagle 2 Pro and the Foxeer Predator Mini, here is my review:

If you are considering Micro size cameras, I am getting the Caddx SDR1, Micro Eagle and the Predator Micro for a comparison later this month Smile
