Omnibus F4 Pro V2 fried?
#16
Hello guys,

I am new here and registered to participate in this discussion.

I have the exact same issue with the bangood F4 Pro V2. Do I need a replacement or were any of you successful in repairing it? I am afraid that if I get a replacement I will only fry it as well if it has a design issue...

For everyone having problems with these clones I'd suggest that you actually buy the Omnibus F4 Pro V3 directly from https://store.myairbot.com/

If you are in Europe, they will actually ship the flight controller from their partner in Germany and you'll get it a lot faster than ordering some shady clone from Banggood. You'll also have the satisfaction of rewarding the designer of the board instead of rewarding Banggood for creating a bad clone that blows up as soon as you look at it.

I got a refund from banggood and will do just that.

Another one bites the dust... I hope you get your money back.

I really can't understand why the listing on Banggood has only 5 bad reviews out of 135 in total.

Yep,

Got a refund from banggood and I will buy something else this time. I was going to use this FC on a 3 inch, but I'm thinking about moving to 20mmx20mm FC/ESC stuff instead.

The 20mm stuff is just perfect for 3" builds.

I was really impressed with what moving to the smaller hardware did for my Atom 122 and I managed to knock 18g off the original 144g dry weight.

Not sure if I manage to remove 18grams from the iflight140 as it is already at 135grams dry, but it will probably loose atleast 10grams

What flight controller were you thinking of?

I haven't figured that out yet. I would like a board with a current sensor and a 5v bec, but I haven't really started looking for one yet

The only 20mm flight controller I know of that has a current sensor is the Omnibus F3 Nano from Airbot: https://store.myairbot.com/flight-contro...3nano.html There's no flash memory though and the onboard regulator won't handle more than 2S.

I used this: https://www.banggood.com/Eachine-Minicub...26931.html in my Atom 122 rebuild and so far, it's working very nicely. The onboard regulator seems to drive the VTX OK, even at 200mW.

The only drawback is that there's no flash memory for black box logging.
