Nuby 150
#1
Bought a Nuby 150 from Armattan Productions.

This little quad for $29 USD comes as a bare bones package , which is, a Carbon top plate and carbon bottom plate. All standoffs and screws you to need supply.

I picked this frame over some others as it allows you to fit a HS1177 FPV cam to it as the majority of cmos FPV cams really do suck in bad lighting. The HS1177 cam is very exposed sitting out front like that, but I have made a small protector and seems to do ok.  Had a couple of impacts with trees and no damage to the cam at all. A small price to pay to have a decent fpv cam, which also makes for better quality when recording video in the goggle dvr.

The frame is very simplistic and no frills, but, it is plenty big enough to fit a full size PDB, FC, mini VTX, HS1177 cam and hard wired lipo alarm, with your RX on the outside of the top plate. Which means I opted to have my lipo slung underneath.

The frame will only allow for 1306 and perhaps 1407 motors, but those sized motors on this frame are plenty big enough.

My parts list.

Paragon 1306-3350kV motors
LB 20A ESC's
Demon core PDB v2.1
Xracer F303 FC
Matek hard wire lipo alarm
Hawkeye VTX
FM800 SBUS RX
HS1177 fpv cam
Gemfan 3030 props
Foxeer LHCP Antenna
3S 700mAh lipo and 4S 450mAh lipo's

Running BF 2.5.4, Lux PIDS

I have only really had perhaps 6 flights in total and have almost got the tune to where I want.

If you want a no frills bare bones tough little frame that can accommodate a HS1177 cam or similar, take a look at Armattan Production. https://armattanproductions.com/pages/kit_detail/195

Note my use of a 30Amp esc protector to house my RX. Big Grin

Curious as to where you found a 3S 700mAh battery? Thanks!

Thanks!  I had been looking through the Nano-techs, Graphenes, Bolts, and Zippy compacts.  I just forget to look at some of the other options.

Here's my favorite so far: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store..._Pack.html .  (I solder my own XT30s on them and use them on my F2F 160.) However it's only 25-50C.  But the size and weight are outstanding, and I'm not "good enough" yet to need the higher constant C-rating.  (I will get there though....)

The weight of them is great, more flight time for less weight, just the C rating is lower, not that it makes a huge difference unless you do heaps of punchouts and fast sustained flying.

I have even tried a 1000mAh 4S on my 150 Nuby, but a bit too heavy and fly's like a bus.

Oh and the XT30's are great little power plugs.
