Hi all, pleased to meet you!
I'm pretty new to the hobby, having built my quad and flying on and off for about 3 months now. After my most recent flight led to me losing my receiver antenna entirely to one of my props, I decided to use this as an excuse to upgrade from my Flysky setup to a FrSky one. Consequently, I picked up an XSR receiver and a Taranis QX7 transmitter.
So where is my problem? I have an SP Racing F3 board (which lacks a virtual COM port). After having read up on how to connect telemetry, I realised that my receiver would need to make use of 2 UARTs! As I currently use UART 3 for a Micro Minim OSD, UART for USB and UART 2 would be for the SBUS on my receiver, I'm kind of stumped!
Am I able to share a port for any of the connections listed above? Or do I need a switch to just connect /disconnect the telemetry wire from UART 1 whenever I need to use USB? Any advice much appreciated!
Thanks.
