I already had some hobby electronics background and, figured, working as a Software Engineer could not hurt. The rest of it fell in place quickly. I've been hopelessly addicted since.

Personally I'm inspired by Skitzo, MattyStuntz, Mr. Steely. Also, big tip of the hat to Oscar and his crew for the blog.oscarliang.net, FB group and now forum. I use the blog as a primary source of know-how and reference.
