Nitro to Electric Conversion
#1
Hey guys, i have HPI Trophy 4.6 Truggy which i haven't been using for a loooong time and want it to convert to electric. I can't decide what motor to buy i'm considering to get 4076-2200Kv w/ 120-150A ESC, or 3674-2200Kv 90-120A ESC or sth. like that.

3674 is 2400W and 4076 is 2200W this confuses me. Any suggestion is appreciated, thanks in advance.

with the same gear the small high kv motor should accrelate faster and give a better topend, from higher ampdraws probably liposag. the bigger lower kv motor should be more efficiency and spend much and linear torq.
i would choose a low kv motor for an rc car. as the motors arent cooled nicely, high kv - high rpms doesnt work better. the gear can change the topend.

racerstar have inexpensive esc-motor combos:

i would recommand a power output conbarable to the pnp model, durability of everything can give a neverending expensive story xD dont ask why i feel the need to tell this xD

I guess i will get 4076-2200Kv and a gear set(15T to 19T). Clutch bell's gear is 15T M1 so i will need 15T pinion gear w/ M1.0.  But 3674 still confuses me  Big Grin
