Newbie just getting started. Bought a Spektrum DX6' inductrix FPV micro, and Spektrum FPV box goggles. Still trying to get the hang of the FPV flying, but working through batteries.

Welcome to the forum!
Those whoop sized quads are a great way to get used to the new perspective. As Oscar said, a sim is also a great way to advance.

All my computers are a few years old, so I think a simulator is out for now. Really wish I could though.

Welcome Hercsmurf, I am currently also unable to make use of sims, realistically there is no substitute for going through the packs though. I hope you enjoy the addiction and your time at the greatest FPV forum online!

Welcome Hercsmurf!

I am also in Georgia (Cobb county to be specific) and I fly out at CCRC all the time. After you get outdoors if you decide to join the AMA and need a spot to fly, we happily welcome new pilots. Folks can come out up to 3 times without having to join the local CCRC club (only AMA members are allowed to fly without an instructor though)

As for simulators, I have a computer that's about 6 or 7 years old that I use and it runs DRL & FPV freerider just fine. Liftoff can lag here and there.

I would suggest giving the DRL simulator a try since it is free

worse comes to worse it locks up your computer and you have to reboot and get rid of it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm on the south side in Newnan. The local club is in the process of moving.

Cool,

There are a couple of spots down in peachtree city according to the "drone zone" app that I've thought about checking them out. One of them is listed as a "Random field with tall grass" and another is listed as the "Walking Dead Launch Point". Although that one I am not sure if they actually think it's a good place to fly or if thy were confused as to what the app is for lol.
