New XING2 2306 1755kv motor desyncs
#1
Thumbs Down
I have a support ticket open with iFlight regarding desync issues with the new XING2 2306 1755kv motors and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same?

Have 6 of those motors and all of them are desyncing usually at the bottom of a split s move when trying to spin up the motors from idle to catch yourself. Flips and rolls are usually ok. Motors don't stop working you just have to deal with unpredictable behavior when you are close to the ground. Tried the motors on 2 new builds with different components and issue is present in both. Unable to fix it by changing Blheli32 settings either. Clearly an issue with these new motors.

Hope this helps someone if you are deciding on whether to buy these motors.

Here is betaflight log showing Motor 3 desyncing at 2:12.657 (https://drive.google.com/file/d/11j_HJFs...sp=sharing) mind you this desync happened close to the ground and I slightly tapped the ground but luckily there is no damage to the quad due to this as I was flying over grass. I was kind of expecting a desync so didn't do anything crazy was more of a test flight. Haven't flown the quad since until this gets resolved.

Have bunch of other logs+videos showing each motor desyncing at least once on both quads I had these installed.

what esc settings did you change?
i would suggest to;
-reduce startup/rampup power
-increase motortiming
-set demag compensation to high

all three should decrease the chance for a motordesync, if there is an issue on the motor it wont solve the issue but it could go flyable, hopefully

did try all of the above:
- rampup power reduced all the way to to 12-13%
- motor timing 22 through 25
- demag to high

with above settings it maaaaaay be less frequent but I still get the desyncs at the worst possible times and totally random. I can repeat certain flight path 10 times and it will fly perfect and then on 11th time I get the desync. Or you can get desyncs 2-3 times in a row. Completely unreliable and unpredictable.

I am not sure if this is all new XING2 2306 motors or maybe I just got unlucky with bad batch.

as you tried them on two different builds, i have no idea Undecided
prevent a desync by hide to low rpms, increased idlespeed can force you to that, could probbaly make a difference.

i tried to increase idle speed, configured dynamic idle. default betaflight settings, default filters, more filters, minimal filters, tuned PIDs, lowered PIDs by moving master slider down to 0.7, replacing specific motors (have 6 of these), different props, different batteries, no matter what i did desync always happens. It's frustrating and very disappointing.

I tried my XING-E 2207 1800kv motors on this latest build and quad is 100% reliable no matter what I do or how i fly.

If you are thinking about getting these new XING2 2306 motors don't do it just yet. Get something else for now or wait a little. Well, they are out of stock everywhere anyways so maybe new batch will be "fixed" once they start showing up in stock. But just be aware of possible desyncs.

get a faulty product and get into a troubleshoot history to sort it out is pretty frustrating Undecided

I'm having the same issue. Did those three things. Still somewhat random desyncs, although it seems to happen (I think) as I start to throttle up. I am no good at blackbox so I'm outta luck there. Just been flying very close to myself..ugh.
