RK has just released their new 5051x3 Props. I managed to get my hands on a few sets and will be giving them a try as soon as i can. but from what i've been told by other people that have already flown them is that they produce more thrust than a 5045x3 but yet is more efficient. i will try to experiment by flying with some RK 5040x3 then RK 5045x3 and finally with these props. all on a fresh battery, on the same quad. performing the same maneuvers. i'll post the video when i'm done. Here in the U.S. they're about $3 a set. if these props are anything like the RK 5040s, 45s. then they should be pretty durable. most of the time when i crash i'll just bend the prop back and keep on going. here is what they look like on my quad Posts: 195 Threads: 8 Likes Received: 86 in 54 posts Likes Given: 79 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 6 Cool, they kinda look like bats from that angle so in that particular color you have a Halloween themed quad now • Posts: 1,290 Threads: 67 Likes Received: 711 in 472 posts Likes Given: 1,216 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 23 Damn.....I like those....I'm gonna get some.....even if they don't work as advertised, they look cool!! Also surprisingly durable. I had 2 run-ins with branches and not a bit of damage to the props that I could tell. Finally after about 6 hard crashes (including a disarm at 60 feet up) I need to use my second set. The only thing I didn't like about them was that they felt "squishy" in quick maneuvers. They felt about the same as DAL props to me, but compared to HQ 5x4x3 they don't give super snappy quick turns. • Posts: 626 Threads: 96 Likes Received: 531 in 218 posts Likes Given: 188 Joined: May 2016 Reputation: 20 (02-Dec-2016, 03:40 PM)jamesw Wrote: So I tried these things out too....damn they are FAST!
