New RaceKraft 5051x3 Props
#1
RK has just released their new 5051x3 Props. I managed to get my hands on a few sets and will be giving them a try as soon as i can. but from what i've been told by other people that have already flown them is that they produce more thrust than a 5045x3 but yet is more efficient. i will try to experiment by flying with some RK 5040x3 then RK 5045x3 and finally with these props. all on a fresh battery, on the same quad. performing the same maneuvers. i'll post the video when i'm done.

Here in the U.S. they're about $3 a set. if these props are anything like the RK 5040s, 45s. then they should be pretty durable. most of the time when i crash i'll just bend the prop back and keep on going.

here is what they look like on my quad

Cool, they kinda look like bats from that angle so in that particular color you have a Halloween themed quad now Big Grin

My buddy put a set in the air Sunday... I'm watching him fly around and thinking "he's fast with those props"... I look down at him as I was standing behind/over his shoulders... mid stick... that thing was screaming!... and he was only half throttle at 45'ish degrees.. those props are sick!

Just got a few sets last night along with a bunch of other stuff from GetFPV and yeah they're awesome looking props. Actually, when I opened the box I thought GetFPV included a big bonus bag of jellybeans in my order hahaha

So I tried these things out too....damn they are FAST! Also surprisingly durable. I had 2 run-ins with branches and not a bit of damage to the props that I could tell. Finally after about 6 hard crashes (including a disarm at 60 feet up) I need to use my second set. The only thing I didn't like about them was that they felt "squishy" in quick maneuvers. They felt about the same as DAL props to me, but compared to HQ 5x4x3 they don't give super snappy quick turns.

i noticed the same thing, probably cause it's harder for the motors to spin them up. they are really aggressive. in my opinion they're great for free flying, but going around a track with hard turns and tight maneuvers not so much. and they create a ton of prop wash.

With this angle the propwash isnt something special, dont know if tunable or just physics,
Until now i did only freeflight on those props ill try some sharp corners as well and see how it feels
