New Brushed Build questions
#1
Sorry for asking anything that's already been covered (please feel free to link me elsewhere), but I'm trying to configure a BeeCore F3 EVO to run a tiny-whoop type brushed quad.
I have this board: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N99...UTF8&psc=1
and am trying to get it to work with a Turnigy 9x which I've upgraded to ER9x with a FRSKY DJT Module. I know the board is bound because the lights on it respond to the TX being powered on and off. Also it initially showed the feeds on cleanflight but the channel map was wrong/mixed up. In attempting to fix that I now can't make the FC "see" the input from the TX.
rx mode is set to "RX_Serial"
Serial receiver provider is set to: "SBUS"
Unfortunately I just installed ER9X and my 250 CC3D quad is in pieces so I'm sort of running blind here. Google results don't give me much to go on. Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

So your TX is in D8 mode?
In the ports tab, is one of the UART selected as "serial RX"?
this may not help, but have you tried different channel map?

first of all, Thank you @Oscar for walking me through the er9x upgrade! I totally just realized you're the same Oscar when I clicked on your fleet link. That was extremely helpful. On to the question at hand.

The switches on the DJT module are both in the off position, so I do believe that's D8 mode (CMIIW)
I do have the third UART port selected as serial.
I have messed with the channel map and can't get into a position to have the sticks register on cleanflight again. They did initially register, but the left stick had the throttle on the horizontal.
You don't have a step by step guide on how you've set up er9x for a brushless quad do you? I'm wondering if I messed something up in setting up the three position switch. I'm also not sure how to set the arming control in the way that the FC wants it. er9x is far better than the stock-ware, but it's almost too much control for a barely comfortable pilot like me.

We are running blind just like you lol
I have been using Taranis for 2 years so not familiar with er9x.

I think you problem is probably due to mess up on the TX settings or Cleanflight settings, resetting them might help.

On your TX, Try to create a new model for quadcopter, and see if that helps. If not try resetting the settings on cleanflight? (Do a back up of CLI dump first) Remember to change Motor update rate back to what it was before (get value from back up), and set up settings for SBUS again
