I am an Uber and Amazon driver in the Cincinnati area. I was recently introduced to drones/quads by my son attending drone camp. The drone he received for attending (eachine h8). It was a complete heap that I never saw fly. He actually was given a second one that also refused to fly. I felt so bad for him and angry at them, until I saw how much a replacement would cost. I fully expected to pay $100-200 to replace it, but was pleasantly surprised, and kinda angered, that they had the exact same thing on Amazon.com for $18! Not only that, but there were 1000's of other options for right around the same price. I am a penny-pincher. I hate to spend more than I absolutely have to for anything, so I began my due diligence and I spent a week researching which were good and which are crap. I ended up buying him an udi u818hd+, but I found a good deal ($16) on a u839 at a local b&m nearby and I wanted to try. So far I have bought 2 u839's, a u32, and the u818, but I have owned 4 839's. Youngest son killed a motor on his first flight, and I wired a battery backwards and fried mine's fc. B&m replaced them both without question and I have logged easily 100 hours between all of them. Then I found fpv racing and my heart skipped a beat!
I am now doing my diligence to build my own nano fpv. I wanna stay under 100mm, but I need to move to brushless. I've only been at this for a few months and already I have replaced 3-4 motors and various other mods to my fleet for minimal gain. Now, I wanna run with the big dogs! I'll be around asking questions while I develop my parts list, so I'll be seeing you all around!
