New batteries from Indestructible Quads!
#1
Hey guys, just to let y'all know that Indestructible Quads has recently listed 5S 1300mAh 80C black label batteries, (I challenge you to find a quality 5S LiPo for cheaper than $25!

Also newly listed (I guess following popular demand for something suitable for a 'super micro') is a 550mAh 80C 3S, optional JST or XT30 connectors available, I hope up to the same standard as the other batteries in the range. They have a higher discharge rate and 50 more mAh than anything hobbyking has, and at $10 each, they are around $5 cheaper than the Turnigy Bolt V2 and Turnigy graphene (500mAh).

Where is Indestructible Quads based? I can't find anything on the site that tells me that, or if they can ship batteries internationally.

Hey Unseen, if I remember they're out of New York in the states. I am not sure about international shipping though.

I believe that tehStein is capable of up to 6s and I've thought about trying mo-powah but... that one is in pieces... lol... so maybe later. I'm still happy with my 4s' from them for now Smile

Yeah he does ship internationally... $22 shipping for 4x 850mAh 4s and 2 sets of props out here to SA. Cheaper by weight than what I paid at hobbyking ordering LiPo's.

Thanks gents!

I'll probably have to give this a miss. If he is shipping LiPo batteries by airmail, there's a large risk that they'll be discovered, either in the US or by customs in the destination country and confiscated.

I don't think it is airmail he uses..? He mentioned the restrictions on shipping LiPo's and said that 'surface' shipping wouldn't be quick out here...

Check this RCG thread, if you just wanna ask, he does seem to respond to comments quite quickly, dunno about this time of year though!

Hey guys & gals....

I ordered one of these batteries.  Shipping was prompt and the price was right.  I think it was like $22.00 delivered.  I ordered a 4S 1300mAh 80C battery.  The battery is well constructed with heavy gauge shrink wrap and it seems to deliver gobs of performance.  I only have a few cycles on it so I can't speak to longevity.  My main problem with it is weight. IMHO, it's heavy.  It's only two grams shy of some RMRC 4S 1500 mAh I have.  That said, this is an 80C battery and I am comparing it to a 60C battery.  The higher the C rating, the heaver the battery....at least in MY experience.  So I just wanted to let everyone know it seems to be a good value....a solid battery (albeit a bit heavy).  I'll report back when I get a few dozen cycles on it. Smile

Stats on the site say about 170g for the 1300 and 190 for the 1800 1500mAh (standard config battery, there isn't any info on the weight of the 'cube' shapes.

Sorry guys......didn't see this until now. I'll weigh my 1300 when I get home tonight. I've already weighed it but I don't remember exactly how much it weighed....but if memory serves (and at my age it may not) I think it was a little heaver then that. Will let you know.
