There is definitely something very strange going on with the
achillesfpv.eu website. If I try to access it via a VPN I get redirected to the TBS website, and specifically to the Fusion analog module product web page which is more than suspicious, but if I try to access it without going through a VPN I get taken to the proper Achilles FPV website as expected. Doing a network ping to the
achillesfpv.eu domain returns an IP Address of
31.22.115.40 whether or not I'm connected via a VPN, so I have no clue what is going on. a WHOIS shows the domain as registered and resolving to a Greek server (see
HERE). It's almost like TBS have paid for some kind of redirection that takes you to their specific web page for a related / competing product. But why this only happens when I go via the VPN I don't really know unless it is DNS related.
I suggest setting your network adapter IPV4 and IPV6 DNS addresses to the static Google DNS servers rather than obtaining DNS addresses automatically from your ISP and see if that changes anything:
- Google IPv4 Preferred DNS -> 8.8.8.8
- Google IPv4 Alternate DNS -> 8.8.4.4
- Google IPv6 Preferred DNS -> 2001:4860:4860::8888
- Google IPv6 Alternate DNS -> 2001:4860:4860::8844
Then perform a DNS flush on your system. On Windows you do that at a Command Prompt (run as administrator) by running the "ipconfig /flushdns" command. Then clear your browser cache (or use an InPrivate / Incognito session) and try to access the achillesfpv.eu website again to see what happens. Make sure you have any VPN's switched OFF. P.S. There is nothing wrong the RX5808 based diversity analog receiver modules if you are on a budget. They may not be as good as the image fusion technology receivers such as the ImmersionRC RapidFIRE or TBS Fusion, but my Realacc RX5808 Pro Plus OSD module always performed to my satisfaction.
