Need help with Fly Away problem with 6S
#1
Yes, another fly away question.  I tried to get help on the Discord for BetaFlight and really not going anywhere.

Here is the built...(I could be missing something important)

Frame: GEPRC Mark 5 Pro
FC: Diatone Mamba F743 V2 (BF: mambah743_2022b)
ESC: Diatone Mamba 65A 128bit (AM32)
Motors: T-Motor F60 Pro V 2020KV (Rated for 6S use)
VTX: O3 AU
GPS: HGLRC M10 Mini
BF: 4.4.1

I currently have a Panasonic FR 1000uF 35V with a TVS board on the XT60 connector and also a Panasonic FR 680uF 35V on the ESC.  Both FC+ESC is softmounted.

When I use a 4S battery it flies perfect.  When I use a 6S battery, give it about 15%-20% throttle it will go crazy and fly away.

I have loaded the preset for UAV 6S 5".

In BetaFlight I have a 6S profile and 4S profile (auto switch).  The 6S profile (#2) has the UAV 6S" preset loaded.

I also own a 2" and 3" whoop and the 3" whoop I use 6s batteries and don't have a problem.

Anyone can recommend what I should be looking for?

I’ve found the UAVTech presets to be good, but fairly aggressive. After I’ve had a couple crashes and my build is no longer as “clean”, I’d usually have to bring down the d gains (damping slider), or lower the master multiplier, or I’d start getting flyaways- if it didn’t straight flyaway, it wouldn’t want to drop when I cut the throttle.
Dangerous operations.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

should I go all the way down on the sliders? because even by default... all the sliders are in the middle even with out the presets.

what about the filters?

No, just try bringing the master multiplier down a bit. If it’s at, for example, 1, then bring it down to 0.9. If it still flys away, try 0.8.

I’m not a tuner, so I can’t dive into this too deep with you. I only know enough to just get me by and to fix whatever is wrong with my quad.
Dangerous operations.
