Need Help for a MicroQuad build for FlySky FS i6 Transmitter
#1
Hello guys.

I am new here and I've got a question for you.

I am looking around for a few days now but it seems I can not find a solution for my problem. I want to build a Micro Quad <100mm and want a board and receiver on it which works with PPM signals, so my Flysky FS i6 Transmitter from Banggood. Is there a chance to get something which will work with this Transmitter?

Thank you all!

I could be wrong, but I think your main problem will be finding a receiver that is small/light enough for a sub-100 quad.  You are pretty much limited to FlySky and maybe Turnigy Rx's.  I don't see any micro Rx for those.  It will be OK on larger quads that have more space and can handle the weight, but I would definitely start thinking about a different radio with more options when you can afford it.

I hope somebody chimes in and corrects me here, but I think that radio is going to limit you - sorry.

Not sure if I am allowed to post links to sellers, but what about this:

"DasMikro Ultra Miniature PPM Signal Output 8CH Receiver" from BG?

Well yes, I stand corrected  Rolleyes  That would probably work just fine with a proper mini FC on a 100mm quad.
And, btw, it is OK to post links to products like that.
Good find, and please accept my apologies.

You might double-check to make sure it will work with your Tx. The i6 wasn't listed on the page...

No problem, I am a newbie in this area. Firstly I just wanted to fly one 250 Quad but now I like the hobby so much that I want to build one for inside Big Grin
Any suggestions for a good small FC and other good parts for a microquad?
Thank you so much Smile

For such a small quad, I would recommend brushed motors and a brushed FC.  Beef's Brushed Board will accept PPM input: http://www.getfpv.com/flight-controllers...oller.html

As far as the remaining parts go, you can pick up a frame and 8.5 motors at Micro-motor-warehouse (or print your own frame from thingiverse).  Also check out Oscar's blog https://oscarliang.com/ for a lot of how-to's (including adding FPV to micro-quads) and resources for parts.

AFAIK that one doesn't have a failsafe. Unless there were some updates on that product.

EDIT: IT DOES! Need FW update: read trough this http://forum.banggood.com/forum-topic-129701.html
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car

I read somewhere the Micro Scisky (quanum pico) can override the built-in RX and use an external RX instead... I am looking into this!
