Sorry, I haven't used KISS firmware before. Only Betaflight. There are probably a lot of differences in them, but if the problem persists, you could switch FCs as a last resort. Maybe even get a new receiver? Smile
If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!

Everything looks like it is setup correctly. I don't use Kiss, so I don't know how to use a different UART to connect your RX.

I'd put the antennas on and leave them on if I were you.

The u.fl connector is not designed for more than 30 connections/disconnections. If you're not very careful to ensure that the parts are completely parallel with each other when pressing the connectors together, you'll get far less than 30 connections/disconnections before the antenna side of the connector stops making a good connection.
