3 01-Jan-2024, 10:46 PM (This post was last modified: 03-Jan-2024, 01:20 AM by segler999.) I am looking for female JST 0.8 mm 3-pin pigtails. NBD has the males, but they don't list females. I emailed them to ask. No answer yet.
Reason is this: the Happy Model X12 and F4 2G4 AIO boards set the camera socket on edge. When you plug in a camera, the wires have to be sharply folded to avoid interference with whoop frames. I have had to shave frames to accommodate this.
It was suggested to solder female pigtails to the boards. Good advice, but I can't find anyone who sells these female JST 0.8 3 pin pigtails.
Suggestions?

52 If you are connecting to a Happymodel AIO, I believe they all use SH1.0 connectors and not 0.8 pitch. For SH1.0, I believe you will only find the SMD connectors, they can be soldered directly to wire but takes a little work to do so. You may consider just removing the plug from your camera if you want to solder directly to the AIO.

0 Whatever connectors you need, should be able to find on digikey or mouser.

3 I hope you're right. However, since the Runcam Nano 3 and the Pinchcam both advertise themselves as JST 0.8 AND since they both plug directly into the camera receptacles on the X12 and F4 2G4 boards, I have to assume the receptacles are JST 0.8 and not JST 1.0.
I do have both male and female JST 1.0 and JST 1.25 pigtails. I might just have to convert all the cameras to the larger size and be done with it.
Thanks for the references to Digikey and Mouser. I will check them out.

3 03-Jan-2024, 01:18 AM (This post was last modified: 03-Jan-2024, 01:20 AM by segler999.) I am VERY glad to stand corrected. I got my F4 2G4 today, and--yes indeed--the camera port is JST 1.0, not 0.8.
This is good news since JST 0.8 stuff is really hard to find.
I have plenty of JST 1.0 stuff.
So, where did I get the idea it was JST 0.8, you ask? After mstc's post above I went back to see what I had been using as source material. Yup, nothing in the Runcam Nano 3 or Pinchcam documentation is there anything about plug size. Turns out I got the JST 0.8 information from the BetaFPV CO3 camera and MO3 vtx descriptions. (BetaFPV proprietary strikes again. So does NBD; see below.)
Also the AcroBee65 BeeBrain BLv4 ELRS board has the camera port at JST 0.8 as well as the compatible NewBeeDrone BeeEye Camera.
It was easy (too easy by far) to assume that all nano cameras used JST 0.8.
These forums are a gold mine of great information and helpful advice. Thanks, mstc, for your input.
