Hi all,
In Sweden where I am it was around 0 degree celsius and sunny today so I went out flying. After 20 minutes my quad just stopped all the motors and fell from the sky. Thankfully at a grassy field from about 3-4 meters. At the time I was about 15 to 20 meters from the quad so it was not loss of signal.
I rebooted and got the blue light but the red and green lights were blinking and I couldn't get it to work at all.
When I got home the thermometer showed -1 and I couldn't connect to the FC with the usb cable. My other quads connected so not a PC problem. After some googling I wrote it off as flight controller failure and was resigned to buy a new FC.
Some time later this evening I was going to show my friend the quad and connected the battery to light it up just for show and I got a normal response with a blue light from the FC. With the TX active it flew normal.
So, from this I get that Naze32 do not like cold weather. Do any of you have any experience with cold weather and flight electronics?
I try to fly when I can and I have flown it for more than an hour in +5 to +10 degrees without problems and when I flew helis some years ago I can't remember any problems with cold weather.
BR,
Henrik
I can add that it is a naze32 acro rev 5.
