hey guys,
After reading a lot of stuff, I finally decided to put together a complete new micro quad.
Here is the stuff that I ordered so far:
Frame: Brick H from MMW (http://micro-motor-warehouse.com/collect...30mm-8-5mm) probably not the best frame around. but I couldn't resist lego! Can't wait to give a ride around the house to some minifigs
FC: nano qx controller. I have an extra one on hand and I love how the nqx flies. I might upgrade to a beef or something like that down the road, but for now, I'm hoping this one will be ok
Motors: MMW CL-0820-15 those are the fast ones. I enjoy slow cruising indoor around the house so no need for some insane speed (http://micro-motor-warehouse.com/collect...cl-0820-15)
I also ordered some motor feet (http://micro-motor-warehouse.com/product...820-motors)
Props I already have many many props of all kind around so I'll do some testing with several ones when I get all my stuff
I also ordered some prop guards designed for hubsan (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Hubsan-X4-H107L-B...Sw9N1VlOBp) I plan on cutting this thing to only keep what's required, just like this video shows: _https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAoPnX0RZiU
FPV Quanum elite micro from HK (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...NTSC_.html) I read a lot of positive feedback lately about this thing, so I'll give it a shot.
Batteries Nano-tech 750mah 35C from HK (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=34872&aff=1195429) Remember, I'm looking for longer flight times indoor and I'm not looking for any acrobatics
So.. what do you guys thing of my kit so far?
I'm hoping to get a minimum 5 minutes of slow indoor flight time with this setup and also be able to have some fun outdoor later when it gets warmer and when the wind is not to harsh.
I'll post pics of the actual quad when all my stuff arrives and I can put it together.
Oh and I'll use my trusty DX7 to control it and maybe finally give a shot to this custom DSMX module for my Taranis that I never tried yet! Also have some dom v2 goggles so I'm all set on this side.
Any thought? Am I missing anything important? Will this thing live up to my expectations?
