My new 5" QAV-R build
#1
i recently built a TC-R220 to see how I would like flying a frame for 5" props. after destroying the TC-R after about 2 weeks of hard crashes and mid air collisions I decided to go with an authentic QAV-R this time. plus it made it easier cause all I had to do was move everything from one frame to another. here's what I'm using.
SP Racing F3 Acro board
DYS SE2205-2300kv motors
LB 30A esc
X4R-SB rx
RCTimer FT958 vtx
RunCam FPV board camera
RK 5045 Tri-blades
as you can see from the pics I depinned everything and soldered all my connections from the bottom of flight controller to make it look as clean as I can. well time to go cross my fingers and maiden and tune. I will try to post some flight video later.

I love it, I'm going to switch my set up tho over to some BLHeli-S and 2550KV motors. I'll post some video once I get it all off my camera. how do you like yours?

Really clean build. I love my QAV-R. Mine is KISSed, but I have a Neato 220 with F303v3 and it's gorgeous! Your work is mint!

I was lucky! I won a contest for a complete build from @FPV_Empire. I went with the QAV-R with Kiss. It turned out the guy lives here in Florida, and he's part of the 9-12 person group I fly with now. I've only bought from him since winning, I figure it's the right thing to do Smile

It's a nice quad, and I probably need to tune it a bit more. The F303 v3 in the Neato just seems much more locked in.
