my mediocre video collection thread

my computer is a dinosaur these days and I can still work on music with it (video is a little more tough sometimes)... What DAW do/did you use/prefer?

My older machine was a pentium5 lol running windows 98 lol-lol which was basically only for recording, it held up for about 12 years but when i moved it from the studio it finally died... i would need to set up a "new" win98 pc to use my old soundcard again, they never made drivers for newer systems. But my newer AMD pc also broke... not sure why though. It's a bit much at once to get it all back running like it was before.

Looked great to me man! From a viewers standpoint, I don't notice much except the epic location and scenery, along with some very smooth and graceful flying, accompanied by feel good music. 
Also, I usually only watch Youtube in 720p if that matters. (easier to stream) 

Coming from the Artist in me, sometimes we are too critical of ourselves as well. While we notice the tiny little imperfections, because we have spent hours looking at it, others won't necessarily know the difference if the tiger I am painting has 12 stripes instead of the 13 that show in the reference photo

I guess what I am trying to say is don't be so hard on yourself lol  My wife even likes watching your videos. And that's saying something!   (mine just give her motion sickness   )

I know, it was just so apparent especially when looking at the ground... maybe i watched it too early, but i also was hoping it would get better since i pretty much exactly followed the youtube guidelines - i thought i finally had it - that's why i was more disappointed than usual lol.

But those are very very nice compliments, i appreciate that a lot, makes me happy both you and your wife like watching my stuff.

So when I said mine was a dinosaur... I may not have considered that you might come back mentioning a win98 machine...

Maybe you need a new audio interface instead :p

Haha thanks It's 120 batteries flown in FPV with this quad. Only very few early crashes without damage, so make "leaving the ground" with FPV maybe 125 times.

Though, i couldn't keep count if i didn't number every video i upload... I usually keep in mind how many batteries i did in a session, then count back from there.

The videos looks awesome as said already on YouTube I know the feeling to well when you think it isn't that good and this could be better but actually man your videos are really good and I enjo watching them it is all about fun and have a good time with other guys around the same topic so keep going more of this!!

Youtube is not nice to me right now... since about 2 weeks, it stopped processing my videos properly, and as a result i can not watch them from firefox browser, and also can't edit end screen links.

This is just a test upload - maybe making a video public makes a difference because it seems to work normal for other youtuber's videos.

Some good moves, but also some jerky ones. I plan to make a montage with all the material from that day, because it was lots of fun.



EDIT: Funny enough, youtube disabled flash player when watching a video on its main page, but it kicks in when embedded, and also when editing end screens (where it's pointless because it never worked for that to begin with).

PS: Chrome users might not notice a difference, but chrome is not an alternative for me - it's choppy, audio stutters, and 360p on chrome looks crap compared to firefox (when the video was processed properly like my older ones) ...

Same spot, worse weather. Runcam2 didn't do very well, i forgot to switch to "cloudy" preset.



Tried to follow Oscar's 21x9 ratio hype train, but it cut off too much. So i made it 18x9

Another new spot... after last flight, after landing normally, i found this piece of branch stuck between the plates, with about 2mm clearing to the prop...





So i made a slo-mo intro with parts from that last flight. Main flight part is an earlier flight and a bit twitchy and repetitive at times, but the spot was quite small, had to get used to it somehow.
