#1
Hey Guys,

Lately our group has been flying some multi gp tracks.  I was wondering if anyone else here is doing the same.. Share your video pls  I'd like to see what kind of lap times you guys are getting.

If you don't enjoy my flying, you can at least enjoy the trance Tongue

Jimmy, yes I totally agree. When I first looked at them, I thought they were very simple and might be too easy. A lot of them are quite difficult actually, teaches you to fly sideways and hold your line.

as im not compatible with track flight (can't remember that i need to follow the same path x times and not to change it)

is there any detailed info on what should be the distance between the gates etc? so the tracks are more comparable ?

at some point i need to start learning to fly in the path Smile
All the best

Hey.. The track layouts are in multigp web site.  The instructions are here:  http://www.multigp.com/page/MultiGPUnive...rialTracks

They are very easy to build, but you need 5 gates.  There's many posts online on how to make your own multigp gates.

I hoped the gates really only look that small, but...

• Racing gates must be standard issue MultiGP Racing Gates or another gate with a 5’x5’ square opening.

... i fear that's not my thing, i think i'd prefer them 5x5 meters  ROFL

hence why I still have not yet made an entire lap!  ROFL

but I am trying... and I am able to get through the 5x5 gates about 5 out of 6 times as long as I set up my angle right... there are plenty of times when I am headed to a gate that I just bail though... I am like "nope this isn't happening"... They seem almost impossible, even the experienced guys at the field I fly at rarely go multiple laps through them.

They say smaller gates are good practice... then if you get to flying with bigger gates: 5x5 then they'll seem easy... I say: it sounds like an excuse to get even more pissed off if you ask me :p

Sometimes you've got to slow down, to go fast. Wink

That's some serious flying by the way! Well done! There are a couple really tough courses there. Thumbs Up

Maybe if you used a 4 inch?  it's be better?  It's much easier to use 5x5 gates.  And I guess tilt the camera down at the beginning until you get used to the track.  I find for track flying you need to get that muscle memory working.

I fly with about 20 now anyway. Im used to looking at the ground a lot but I dont mind yet... Ill try more agressive angles again later after ive gained more precision.

I have heard experienced racecar drivers say It takes approximately 200 practice laps to completely "learn" a course/track. Let alone flying one Wink
I can't wait to try personally.
